A complex set of concepts to consider here and how thought provoking after reading the armchair sociologists/journalist's perspectives. I agree in part and disagree in part. Money or having great material wealth does not give you happiness. Other activities do, especially when they involve altruistic relationships with another, for otherwise giving to another frequently leads to a form of manipulation. Sooner or later both parties need to sort this out. Even if it is a large group such as the Red Cross or a Children's Relief Fund to resolve poverty or a natural disaster aid issue, in all cases there needs to be accountability. Then there is the Foreign Aid given by one government to another often times for years and the results never seem to change very much, the rich get richer and the poor stay poor. No self-help opportunites available. I think that is the key here not discussed, providing resources to another is fine when the other party then uses that opportunity for self improvements. Sometimes you have to nurture that person or group along to do just that, teach them how to better themselves and move on with their life with the abilities and talents that they have. Parents and teachers or professors would be good examples. Vocational Training, Literacy Training,Agricultural Training are other good examples.

We see Mike here has vastly improved his blog over time, so he must be learning somethings to make his life ventures here and elesewhere better. The added links to other perspectives shows us that. Keep it up Dude ! Was that a pun in the making, OK so it was, I like your "UP Side Profiles" too.
