I can't wait until Black Friday 2009! If you haven't ever experienced the rush and excitement of Black Friday shopping, you haven't lived. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A meteor flashed across the sky at around 9:10 p.m. Monday. It was visible from north to northeast, moving left to right. It also moved from "top to down.”

It had a green-ish tint and lasted several seconds. Storm Team 8 meteorologist Bill Steffen saw it while driving back to work for the 10 p.m. news, he wrote on his blog. He writes: I thought it was a flair at first, but people seem to have seen it all over the area. They also had at least one call at the National Weather Service."

"Meteor fell northeast of Egner and White Creek, maybe a few miles, saw out my window at about 9:12 p.m.," e-mailed Rose of Cedar Springs.

Commented another viewer, Brandy: "I took my dogs out and turned around. At that right time, I (saw) a bright light in the sky in the north- northeast. It was bright with a green tail; it was awesome."
